About the event
Most students choose to write a personal recount / narrative for Paper 1 because it is the most similar to the compositions that they have learnt to write throughout primary school. But there are crucial differences between a personal recount and a primary school composition. Learn what these differences are and adjust your writing accordingly so that you can continue to score an A for English!
This workshop is suitable for you if:
➡️ You are a secondary school student
➡️ You prefer writing narratives to argumentative essays
➡️ You want to continue scoring A for English
In this workshop, students will learn:
💡 What constitutes an appropriate introduction to a personal recount
💡 The differences between a personal recount and a composition
💡 What a personal recount must contain
💡 How to structure a personal recount
💡 What to add to a personal recount to make it stand out
💡 How to conclude a personal recount
I have a PhD and teach academic writing in the university. There is nobody else more qualified. Learn only from the best. Register now to secure your place in this very exclusive and eye-opening holiday workshop.
This workshop requires a minimum of 2 students to run, and is capped at only 6 students. Classes will be conducted online via Zoom if there are 2 students, and at Marine Parade if there are 3 or more students. Payment details will be provided in email after registration; seats are confirmed only upon payment of fees. In the event that the workshop does not meet the minimum number of students to run, payment will be fully refunded.
